About the Program

At Thrive Lactation Center, we believe that every family deserves expert lactation care — and every aspiring IBCLC deserves a supportive path to get there. Our mentorship program offers aspiring International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs) the opportunity to gain hands-on clinical experience, grow their confidence, and develop the skills needed to support families with compassion and excellence.

As your mentor team, our group of skilled consultants will walk beside you as you:

  • Bridge the gap between coursework and real-life practice

  • Learn to navigate complex feeding situations

  • Build professional confidence and critical thinking skills

  • Discover how to care for families with empathy, evidence, and equity

Why Mentorship Matters

Passing the IBCLC exam is just the beginning — mentorship is where knowledge becomes wisdom.
Through guided observation, feedback, and reflection, you’ll strengthen your clinical judgment, deepen your understanding of infant feeding, and gain practical experience that can’t be learned from a textbook.

What You’ll Receive:

  • One-on-one clinical mentorship and observation

  • Case reviews and personalized guidance

  • Professional insight into documentation, ethics, and communication

  • Support navigating the IBCLC certification process
