Breastfeeding Support
Assistance with latch, positioning, nipple pain, and milk supply challenges. Our consultants create personalized plans to make feeding more comfortable and successful.
Tongue Tie Evaluation
Assessment, referral guidance, and follow-up feeding care for infants with tongue-ties, including pre- and post-frenectomy support.
Services
Pumping Help
Guidance for pump selection and use, pumping schedules, flange fitting, and safe milk storage — tailored for parents occasionally pumping to exclusively pumping. Our IBCLC consultants help with low supply, oversupply, and changing milk production. We create personalized feeding and pumping plans so you can reach a healthy, sustainable balance for you and your baby.
Bottle Feeding Assistance
We help families with paced-bottle feeding techniques, proper bottle selection, formula preparation, and transition planning so babies get the nourishment they need and parents feel confident in their choices.
Breastfeeding Medicine
Care from providers trained in Breastfeeding & Lactation Medicine to manage complex challenges, including recurrent mastitis, chronic nipple pain, oversupply/low supply.
Preterm & Medically Complex Infant Feeding Support
Caring for a preterm baby or a baby with medical needs can bring unique feeding challenges. Our IBCLC-certified consultants provide specialized support for families navigating NICU transitions, slow feeding development, and conditions such as low birth weight, jaundice, or congenital concerns.
What to Expect During a Consultation
In-Person Lactation Consultation
Our in-home or in-office visits provide hands-on guidance tailored to you and your baby’s needs. During an in-person consultation, your IBCLC may:
Observe a feeding to evaluate latch and positioning
Check for tongue-tie or oral anatomy issues
Assess weight gain, milk transfer, and feeding cues
Address nipple pain, engorgement, or supply concerns
Provide pumping guidance and flange fitting if needed
Develop a personalized feeding plan for your family
In-person visits allow for immediate adjustments and reassurance, helping families feel confident and supported right away.
Virtual Lactation Consultation
Our secure online video visits make professional lactation care accessible no matter where you are. A virtual consultation may include:
Guided observation of a feeding via video
Assessment of latch, positioning, and milk supply
Discussion of feeding challenges, pumping questions, or bottle-feeding support
Education on paced feeding, return-to-work plans, or storage guidelines
Customized care plan emailed after the visit
Virtual visits are ideal for families seeking flexible scheduling or living outside one of our physical locations — and many insurance plans cover them.
